I made up for missing yesterday with today's butt kicking. I don't usually do 2 push routines, but that's how it worked out today. Chest and tricep supersets with some abs in there for good measure.

3 sets Incline chest press on smith/cable pushdowns pronated then supinated grip/incline situp
3 sets incline chest press one notch lower/overhead cable extension/incline leg raise
3 sets incline chest press one notch lower/weighted dips/ab roller
3 sets incline chest press flat bench/cable kickbacks
3 sets bench press inverted grip
1 set each incline cable fly every setting to flat.

Giant sets tomorrow for back, shoulders and legs.

Another kick butt morning in the gym. Chest and bicep supersets.

Incline bench on smith every setting to flat/preacher curl/incline sit up
Incline bench on smith every setting to flat/hammer curl/ incline leg raise
Seated bilateral wide grip chest press strip sets/arm blaster
Bench press inverse grip/overhead cable curl
Incline cable fly/curl bar with handles

I'm leaning out a little. I'm down about 14 pounds from 248 in January to 234 this morning. I keep bouncing between 233 and 238 depending on how I eat. I'm pretty close to losing my Covid 15 I think.

Shoulder and leg day tomorrow

Today makes 4 days this week. Today was shoulders, traps and abs followed up with some stretching. My lower back and hip area seem to be getting stronger and freer. It just dawned on me this morning that in late 2019 I had two hernia repairs done. Then after 3 months in gym getting back in shape the Covid hit and I was out of the gym. Then back surgery in Sept. So Ive had my core cut on twice in the past 1.5 years with an entire year out of the gym. Now I get why my core is having a tough time coming back.

Tomorrow is back, triceps and calves then one planned day off. Big party Saturday night so that may turn into two off days, lol. Keep up the good work guys.

A good gym day to end the week. I only made 4 days this week because sleeping in that rain yesterday was wonderful. Back in the saddle this morning for some chest and triceps.

Bench press 5x5 and finished it off with a strip set/Weighted dips 5x10/leg raise
Incline bench on smith 5X8/skull crushers/ab roller
Incline cable fly 5X10/overhead rope extension 5X10
Push ups 2X20/Cable kickbacks 2x10

Ya'll have a great weekend!

150 push-ups for the last day of April to complete the 2200 challenge for veterans. Suicide prevention due to ptsd is real and averaging 22 veterans per day is unacceptable!

Bodyweight pullups/overhead rope extension/rope extension

Forgot the pack tennis shoes for the weekend so 0-2 there.

Knocking out chest and cardio right now. Changing my set up to extremely high reps. Attempting a 100 rep exercise workout. So 3-4 different 100 rep exercises around 50-60% max

Really threw myself into running more this year. March was 105 miles. April was 106 miles. Yesterday I ran the longest distance I have ran in 35 years - a 10 mile run.

A good shoulders and leg day. I found a shoulder routine somewhere and have used it the last couple of shoulder days. They're toast right now.

DB rear fly/leg extension/incline sit up
DB lateral raise/prone leg curl/flat bench leg raise
DB Arnold press/sled leg press/calf raise/hanging leg raise
DB front raise strip sets/supersquat
Seated shoulder press/weighted crunch.

The set and rep range for the shoulder routine is what kicked my butt. Tomorrow will be back and triceps.

I found the key! Getting to bed BEFORE the sun goes down and I sleep like a baby. Gonna have to try and keep that up. Back and triceps today. Some ab work thrown in as well.

Landmine strip sets/weighted dips/ab roller
Bent over BB row/overhead rope extension/incline sit up
Bodyweight wide grip pull up/cable pushdown/weighted crunch
Lawnmowers/cable kickbacks

Legs and shoulders are on the menu for tomorrow.

Still at it. Life has been busy in a good way recently so only made it into the gym 4 days last week and 4 days this week. Should be able to get back on the 5-6 day a week train again starting next week. My core is coming back but man do I still have a long way to go to get back to where I was. Dreadful!!!!

Been pretty consistent with my work-outs. Got the new PRX set-up in the garage. I sure like having a home set-up. Hitting full body 3 days a week and throw in some cardio and minor sessions on the off days. Following a new program by MAPS fitness. If any of you listen to Podcasts check out Mind Pump. They share some good info.

I’m 65 with two worn out knees and a back that was broken in 2017. I go to the gym at least four days a week and do cardio as well. I’ve got my bench press back up to 180lbs and do the circuit weights as well. I have an an wheel as well that I can go all the way down on with multiple reps.
Here’s my question: why do I still have such a hard time increasing my push-up count?

Just need to practice push-ups more. I get down on the floor and do them every night. the first set is as many as possible. (usually 45-50) Then after the first set i do sets of 20-30 until i reach 100 total reps. After a couple weeks you'll notice a huge difference in how many you can achieve.

Ditto!!!
I did the veteran PTSD Suicide Challenge last month. Total difference in only 30 days. Actually was fun.
