Educate me on Toledo Bend Reservoir

It been a long while since I've fished TB. Grass was always key near structure (points, creek bends, humps etc.) unless the bushes had some water in them, than it was bushes bushes bushes. You will hook into a striper on occasion thinking you have a big bass and than realize it's a dang trash fish.

Had a place in the Six Mile area since 1973 . . Grass is making a return and fishing is getting better . . Mama got her a nice one last weekend . .

First off Shane, it's FRESH water... and there ain't no croker! You wouldn't like it a bit! And there's snakes in them waters too!! Big ones! Gators too!! RUN MAN RUN!!

I have a place in Fairmount, south Hemphill. Great fishing and some good local hunting. Fairmount is experiencing a large amount of improvements. Lots of growth right now. Really a great area in my opinion.
Toledo also has more liberal fishing limits than most Texas waters.

Looking at buying a place on Toledo Bend, waterfront. East of Hemphill... don't know much about the lake. I've heard good things about the bass fishing. Yes I Bass fish

Hey bra stay south. You can't burn the shorelines like you like. And the Wade fishing is good but it's too cold for you. Good luck great lake making a quiet comeback

Get you a map card for the lake. I believe there is one called “ Boat Lanes” that keeps you out of the stumps until you learn it.

I have spent days, on that lake,(79-89)
and never saw another boat..........
It is awesome lake..........

Appreciate the info! I'll probably be the guy that beats the bank in the beginning. Just try and feel my way around a bit first! I definitely need to learn where the stumps are....
