I just read it, sounds like no one wants to be one who turns the switch off. It’ll have some drastic economic effects.

It'll be interesting to be at the deer camp and not watching on the weekends but overall I'm not to sad which would have been crazy to say a couple years ago.

The last 8-10 years as a Razorback fan have conditioned me for this. Iíve watched less and less, every year.

Still super lame though. I loved watching good evening match ups at camp. Have a dish set up specifically for the purpose. Economic impact will be no bueno

You know how many towns across the country rely on college football for income?

This will have a bigger impact than just no football on tv. Several schools athletic departments wonít survive the revenue loss without help.

As if the players / coaches etc canít catch the virus anywhere else except on the field....

Massive impact and some of these programs stand to loose between 80-100 million in revenue which will trickle down to non revenue sports getting canceled for good at University's from coast to coast.

Thing is, these schools did it to themselves. They are voluntarily cancelling their seasons. I say if they want to cancel, let em. Who cares? They get to deal with the budget fiascoes that ensue.

Muzzled every where we want to go, and what is open is only taking x amount of people so if your not first the wait is forever, and as a worker being hammered right now getting somewhere early isnít in the cards. Over all this BS

I havenít stood in line for anything in months. You probably wouldnít either if you ventured out a little.

I have to wear a mask all day at work, so having to pop one on to go out isnít too big of a deal, whether I agree with it or not.

No body in our town cares if you wear a mask or not so itís really only if you go into the city.

Ya wish we were in a place where people would respect each otherís wishes like that, but between this heat, work, and EVERYTHING being politicized Iím not full of patience and i truly donít want to get confrontational with people that fill the need to inject their beliefs on me or shove a phone in my face to record me because i may just snap. Ready for this election an everything to be over so we can just quit hearing bout left, right, up, down, this, that, etc Iím tired of no one just keeping to themselves

I see the line of UPS delivery trucks rolling out the League City UPS facility many mornings. Sweat towels hanging on the grab handle, water jugs, and bandannas or buffs up. Be glad y'all have lots of work and your jobs are secure.

The economic impact of the lost TV revenue will be insane. Some power 5 schools will have athletic departments potentially bankrupted by this.

Apparently the Power 5 AD's are having an emergency meeting so here we go. Well at least I won't have to find someone to take my Ole Miss v A&M tickets off my hands since I was going on a hill country hunt instead.

Was looking at the Baylor forum earlier, there were some screenshots of tweets posted that have since been taken down, CFB ain't happening this year. NFL will figure it out and there will be a season, they're the 800 pound gorilla in the sports world and if MLB, NBA, NHL and Nascar car figure a way to finish the season they will for sure.

So if they cancel, and I assume the NFL follows suit...what are they going to do next year?? Because the corona virus isn’t going to go away. It will still be here next year. Or next spring. I mean seriously, what do they expect to accomplish by canceling the season??

The left are hoping to have communism solidly in place by that point. If they pull that off, sports will be the least of your worries.

$$$. If they cancel season before an official season game owners won't have to pay players their full season monies.

Then they wouldnít get TV money, exposure, or all of their licensing money, either. They would much rather play, trust me.

No they won't, if they aren't having classes on campus they surely are not having football, for sure though the south and southeast will be the last hold outs. You will see Big 10 and Pac 12 announce first, then the ACC, SEC and Big 12 will follow suit.

Debates are held at colleges....

If colleges shut down, easy to make the argument that can't have the debates..

Continue to shelter J.B.

Public schools look like their going to continue and you can guarantee NFL will too, I just won't be watching

can you share what the contingency may look like? I coach a youth team and our league follows UIL so if uil cancels then we likely won't have a season either.
we were supposed to order uniforms today but no one knows what to do at this point.

The contingency is more like a action plan on how we would share athletes if HS football is moved to the Spring. The problem is that everything is pure speculation, we are still going about business as usual however we also have game plans in place if the season is just pushed back. There are so many factors that everything that arises makes five more questions.... itís difficult.
