Glad to be watching College Baseball. I signed up on Flosports. It can be canceled any time. I would like to catch the Aggies play in Round Rock next week so this will fit the bill to stream the games live. Miss St pitching has been great so far through 7 innings. Their hitting as well. Texas missed out on some opportunities a few innings ago. I’ll watch any College Baseball I can. Love it. If you are at the games.....enjoy. Nice to get out to a park I am sure.

Solid effort by Miss. St.
This is really a good looking stadium/field. Reminds me a lot of Miller Field in Milwaukee. From my seat, I look out the windows stretching from the left field fair pole to center field, and see the beautiful Ballpark in Arlington, a retired veteran of a mere 26 MLB seasons. What a progression of baseball facilities around here! I grew up going to Texas League (AA Cubs and Orioles) games at Turnpike Stadium, which got expanded and renamed Arlington Stadium upon the arrival of the Rangers. The more things change the more they stay the same. The horrid Washington Senators moved here around 1972, becoming the bad Rangers. With the exception of a handful of anomalies of success since then, the Rangers have become somewhat horrid once again. They do have nice digs though!

It was still closed last time we went by. Concessions have been very disappointing, I assume largely due to the ice storm.

Texas bats are colder than last Tuesday morning. They’ve gotten some good pitching, but are getting owned at the plate. I hate to say it’s their approach this early, but they have taken a TON of strikes.

Dale it can be lots of things with baseball. Kids afraid to fail. Early season jitters. Some teams just are not family and a bunch of good baseball players wearing same uniform but not connected. Never can tell until later in the season - you will be able to pick out teams that have bonded as a family unit as they usually run deep if they have talent.

Texas has struck out in 1/2 of its plate appearances so far through two games. I understand baseball is a long game and you want to peak in June not February, but its ugly right now.

They have plenty of leadership, made up of multi-year starters. I'm not sure if it's approach, philosophy, or just rust....but it's only 2 games so far. It's also worth noting that they have seen some REALLY good pitching.

Not for nothing either, but their field was under ice for the last week, and a lot of guys probably have been worried about their families situations back home.

Either way, it's early and they are playing top notch competition.

It's good to be baseball season.

Ags dropped both games of Saturday’s double header. They started out pretty hot in game 1, but then started looking like they haven’t played meaningful competitive baseball in a year and a half.

We had to listen to yesterday’s game on the radio (when we could find it) on our drive home, but they played much better in a rout (still had a dozen LOBs of you’re looking for things to work on.)

The local kid (Ryan Targac) hit a solid two run pinch hit single and scored a run in the later innings of the finale and played an inning or two in the OF (he’s a SS/3B but it sounds like they’re looking for ways to be able to get his bat in the game with a crowded infield after a solid spring at the plate.)

Yeah coach Kaz texted me after the loss. He was ******. Chalk that up to not re-focusing after beating LSU.

My roommate and fellow pitcher is a C17 driver stationed in Charleston, got to take them home. Talk about things becoming full circle.

Question for the crowd. Anyone else know of any programs still trying to make these early season games work with players being down due to covid quarantine? I know the AFA was down 8 players going into last weekend. I don’t think they were all sick, just the Academy trying to cover their asses.

My kids opening series got canceled due to weather in San Antonio but we were told no hanging around after games and no sit down meals with the players this season.

SEC baseball is really good as is the Big XII. I like when they pair the two leagues up as it usually is some really good baseball. Glad my Ags weren't their to get their butts spanked!

Hotty Toddy! Rebels swept the TX teams and moved into #1 in the country. Happy to see these boys continue what they started last season before it ended too soon. 19-1 since last year for this squad. Good tournament for all schools involved.

It was good to see our freshman pitchers throw good games. Hogs need to pick it up at the plate some, especially in conference play. That’s looking like a buzz saw.

Lack of pre season practice really showed for Tech. All of the teams in this tournament are great and it showed. The teams that had better indoor facilities came out on top. I look forward to seeing this kind of competition at the end of the year. It is great watching and listening to baseball again.

Seeing 3 games in person, and watching about 4 on the app, it really looked like ole miss was the class of the field to me, with arky a s’pose 2nd. Pitching ruled the weekend, and they had the best. I wish I could remember the name of the guy who pitched for Ms St that was throwing gas and had some wicked movement. He was pounding the bottom of the zone and Texas had zero answers.

For Texas part, they gotta swing the bat. Sounds simple and stupid, but they got behind in TONS of counts, and then had to swing at bad pitches, and it probably looked worse than it was...but it looked awful. Never seen so many 1 handed follow through and heads shaking. I was fairly impressed with the pitching, overall. Defense was ok.

Anyone watching Aggies vs Abilene this evening? Weber loaded the bases three times in four innings. They finally pulled him. Going to be a rougher season than normal is what I suspect. Pitching and hitting so far this season off to a slow start. This weekend will be a true sign of any strengths or weaknesses. I’ll watch it on that top-notch streaming app Flosports.
