This is true of most east TX counties. It goes back to when running deer with dogs was outlawed. People could continue to run them under the pretense of tracking if this were allowed.
To the OP do not give up!!! That deer is dead, dead, dead and probably right under your nose. Call in some of these guys that have offered their services. 4, 6 or 8 or more eyeballs is better than 2 tired and frustrated ones any day.
Keep searching!! Never give up! Never surrender!! The splotches you are finding are probably where he has laid down. He's out there and bleeding. Don't give up!
