    Livestock Trailer - Interior Light

I closed off the front 1/3 of our livestock trailer for a tack room. Now need a light in there. Are there any always-hot wires coming through the trailer lights? Guessing only when truck is on.

What are good options? Seems there are plenty of battery LED lights these days. Maybe that's the simplest.

    Other ideas?

Put you a solar panel on the roof and a small 12 volt battery with a light

Run a led light off the break away battery. Plenty of battery powered LED lights using AA batteries to choose from

I think the white wire your truck connector is always hot so you will need to run a 7 pin connector on your trailer. then you can add a new wire to the tack room.

Get some from Home Depot or Harbor freight that stick on or magnet and run off batteries. Bright cheap and easy.

I had the stick on battery powered ones in tool bins on my welding rig and they were the bomb. They were circular and you just pushed on it to turn it on and off. Cheap too.

Maybe try this site out. It's got different schematics.
