    Caught some oryx!

Late post but wanted to share this fun experience. He have a herd of scimitar horned oryx and it was time to thin some out. He have killed some over the years but wanted to get the numbers down. We darted a total of 12 by helicopter to sell them. We tried to dart mature/ bigger animals because they bring the most money.
All bulls and cows were at least 35”. We did have 2 bulls over 42” and 3 cows over 40”.

    Pretty cool critters...Nice and mature.
I have been involved with darting a few Axis. Almost like a renewable hunt.
Good luck with the sale. Those Oryx are studs!

They are very good eating. We prefer to shoot the yearlings for meat.

How well do they transport with that headgear? Seems like that is a pretty dangerous job. But how great to see one walk under your tree while now hunting.

Cool looking animals. I'd like to get one for my wall and freezer someday.

How much are you selling them for? I might want 2 or 3.
PM me if you can't/don't want to post price.

Someone always has to be on the head controlling it, they know exactly where they’re swinging those horns and where they’re gonna land, it’s scary!

The best way to transport them after catching is slinging them with the Helicopter!

Did you use bam to dart? And how long do you wait to shoot a animal after being darted?

                              Very cool!

Very nice animals. They are just about the only exotic I dream of hunting.
