    Aaron Franklin brisket

I tried to mimic Aaron Franklin's recipe as closely as my electric setup allowed.

He shares his recipe, method, and tips on YouTube - I'm sure he holds a bit back versus what you get in his joint, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try it out regardless.

I will post the steps I followed later once I get home and dig up my notes.

Also threw in some St Louis ribs w/ Texas Crutch as well as some jalapeno cheddar sausage.

Apologies for not knowing how to change the file size on here, but can you really be mad about some close-up BBQ shots?

What kind of electric smoker do you have? I have only tried one smaller brisket on my e smoker and it did not look near as good as yours good job

Nice! Next time you need to have your beef above your pork.

Looks good other than you sliced with the grain.

Masterbuilt... hard to beat from a pure efficiency standpoint (only 8 hrs for large brisket), although I do feel the need to cook the old fashioned way occasionally

Makes sense... I was going at it from the angle of which was closer to the heat source

The grain transitions from the flat to the point. so you need to adjust the slices as you go. i can see some cuts in the pics that are just right, but if you keep cutting the same direction the entire time, you will get off track.

looks like a good meal to me! just wish i could get a crispier bark in my electric but it works great.

                      Just curious, why is this?

You have raw meat dripping down on nearly finished beef.

In a vertical smoker use this order. From top to bottom.

                        Beef
                        Pork
                        Chicken

                        Just what I’ve been told.

This is why I have the Pit Barrel Cooker. Everything hangs.

Looks good! What internal temp did you get the brisket to?
