All teams have to play within the cap salary if it was based on what Jerry could pay none of this would be an issue he’d pay whatever
Yup just like the NY Yankees.

This is nothing similar on any level to baseball OR the Yankmees.

Let's assume you weren't serious here.

Today, I don't see him (Zeke) coming back until after the bye week.

If the Boys are 5-2 or even 6-1, why would he (JJ) move?

                Truth is...

Cowboys could have 8 wins after week 11.

Split the remaining games and Dallas is 11-5

Jerry is in the catbird seat.

I think Jerry will let him hold out. If they are winning, it could be a long holdout. If they are losing, he's going to get paid big time to come back.

First 3 games are against horrible run defenses. I think Jones and the Boys are much smarter than folks give credit.

Jerry is playing this one perfect, he holds all the cards.

Zeke is going to pull the Emmitt move and hope they start 0-2 or 0-3 and Jerrah gets desperate.

Zeke is going to *%*{#* up this season for himself and the Cowboys if he doesn't report soon. I understand why he is holding out but he is getting close to losing a season out of his career IMHO. At least that's the approach I would take from the team's side.

Laveon Bell took the “sit out a season” route and took a lesser amount than he was requesting from a different team and IIRC less than Pittsburgh would have offered? So he lost a season of salary and took less overall plus had to switch teams ? Sounds like a solid plan Zeke.
