I've wasted money on a whole lot worse things in the past...and they certainly weren't as useful as a firearm would be

Not the post comprehensive review ever but this guy didn't have any issues with his from what I can tell based on the limited data.

I do have experience with Escort semi-autos and up to about 7,000-10,000 rounds they are fine.

I stood next to 2 guys all duck season shooting guns that 3 or 4 times what mine did and are newer, but they had issues while I had none.

Not trying to be a know it all, only giving my opinion. Any other dads on here that have had kids shoot 4H/Ag Clays from 9 YO to 18 YO might back me up. These kids are hard on guns & go through 1000's of rounds every year. I had two kids so double that for me. Both probably ran through 20 cases/year/kid. You can go to any of these shoots and look at the guns in the rack. Most will start with a B, and most are Beretta. Bellini & Browning are next. I had one issue with daughters A400. Took it in & told them a 17 YO girl wore their gun out. They fixed it for free.
Son is a duck hunter as well so his gun gets that kind of abuse.
PS: My gun is a Remington 870 made in the 1980's. I might shoot two boxes/year.
I'm a chemical plant worker. I do not have any financial interest in any shotgun manufacturer.Last edited by Monark; 01-29-2019, 09:01 PM.

I said $600 and up is what I would start at in a semi auto. The weatherby SA-08 and Framchi Affinity can be had right around there, as well as an 1100 or versamax. All of these are quality and reliable, and really at some points bargains. Do I love my Benelli? Absolutely, but I also love my Franchi. But below that price point what I have shot/handled my recommendation would hands down be a pump. And my 870 is still in the safe as well. I have heard good things about some semi’s under where I recommended. I also have seen issues from them myself. My recommendation is based on what I would trust in personally. You trust in something differing from me, nothing wrong with that.
Sa08 is probably made in the same factory.
I would love to see one in person and tear it down for a closer look.Last edited by Lungbustr; 01-29-2019, 10:02 PM.

I've had brownings benellis and berettas break on me, way before they should, for what they cost.
I tried a browning due to the other two having problems. My maxus is about to go back to browning because it is chewing up the action spring plunger. I dont care that its wearing out a 13 dollar part in less than a year. I'm worried about why it is chewing it up. Surely there is a bigger problem causing it.
