Poke a hole through the middle and immediately pour in a pot of boiling water. It will steam their tunnels and kill the queen.

I have poured the molten aluminum into the and it does make some cool conversation pieces and is a pretty neat experience. I'll see if I can load a few pics if anyone is interested.
Word of advise, don't pour it to fast otherwise it will blow back at you when it clears the air trapped inside the mound. Stuff went right down my sil's boot and as you can image burnt the heck outta his foot!
