Rechargeable's I would never use in regular trail cams without a power source. Their shelf live decreases with each charge and won't last as long as regular AA's.

I have tried them before and got 4-6 months max. But I take pics every 30 secs and get alot of pics

I just now use cheap batteries and if I get 7-8 weeks I am happy. I can get 100 AA's for $20 and will last a LONG time
