What Texas town would you live in?

If your situation was perfect and you could move to a small Texas town, or perhaps you already are living that life, which town would it be/is it, and why?

When I was in college, I really admired Alva, Oklahoma (NWOSU). Alva seemed to be the perfect town if I were in Oklahoma. The only issue is it was so far away from a city (Enid and Woodward don't count!) The people there would give you the shirts off their back. They loved the college kids and took care of us. They've been welcoming and remember who I am even though I go once every other year to homecoming. Friedliest people you'll ever met.

If I ever moved to settle down with my wife and kid, that's kinda what I'd want, but in Texas.

I dated a girl in Alva, OK, who was from Alva, FL... Both pitchers on baseball/softball team...kinda a neat story, but uh...didn't work out.

Fredericksburg, or one of the communities around it.

Brookeland. Close enough to Lufkin or Beaumont if I need a specialist type DR.or academy. Jasper is close with a walmart and Brookshire Brothers. Close to the lake and close to the deer lease. Every one I have met in the area was friendly.

I always thought Wimberley,or Bandera would be cool to retire to..Close to good fishing, deer hunting, and the dove hunting is phenomenal.
