Not really a project but something some of you might find useful. When Hardiplank first came out it took a while to adjust to working with it. The diamond tipped saw blade is the key.
The problem is a $50 blade that hits a nail is trash. We would put 2x4s on saw horses to support the 12' lap siding.
One day I decided to build a saw table for hardi. The same height as a sawhorse, 3' x8'. It worked great. Our guys found out it was great for cutting plywood too. The nails are low enough so you can cut a little wood and not ruin your blade. A hole in the middle so you get inside and carry it like Fred Flintstones car.
I put plywood on it and it can be a scaffold or a table.
