    Interest in Burl Wood?

I have this cedar elm in my yard that has died, I don’t want it to go to waste. Is there any wood workers here that might be interested in this before I cut it down and it turns into firewood?

Very cool. Took this pic this week of a post oak near my office.

Nice. I’d love to have for turning on the lathe but I didn’t know the next time I’ll be that area.

I had to do some searching but it looks like the grain is really nice on cedar elm. Would be cool if someone could make something from it

I’d love to get it if you wasn’t so far. I use Burl all the time in my bows!

Thanks everyone, looks like all the tree has been spoken for. I’m glad it’s going to a good use.

This is a great thread. After dividing up the tree, I hope we get a sub thread of the creations made from it. Even as small bow grips to larger tables.

Do they make baseball bats out of Elm ?

If they don't take it all, I would like to get my hands on some.
