    Traditional FSC Week 17

    Tucking the shots.

    Fold regular sheet of paper...in half twice...once along long side and once along short side. Four quadrants. Two positive quadrants. Two negative quadrants. Positive and negative quadrants re to be opposite of each other. Label them however...positive and be top left and bottom right or top right and bottom left...whatever suits your fancy.

    Aiming point...very center. Measure edge of shaft to center of target dot:

    Two shots each day. Three days to get lowest measure in the positive.

    If you hit in the negative...double the measure. If you hit positive...its is what it is.
    Example1: Shot 1 negative 1/2”=>-1”. Shot 2 positive 1”...days total is zero.
    Example2: Shot 1 negative 1/8”=>-1/4”, Shot 2 positive 1/2”...days total is 1/4”

    If two hit positive...just take the lowest measure of the two.
    Example3: Shot 1 = 1/2”, Shot 2 = 3/4”...days total is 1/2“

    If your on the line...count it however best benefits your measure...positive or negative.

    Hit target center....Winner! Other than that...Lowest measure wins. Tie breaker...most times hit center wins.

    For Hawkeyes like Rick...you can pull shot 1 arrows to prevent arrow destruction.

    Happy Easter Yall.

        First Attempt

        I need some clarification. What about shots off the paper? My first shot was - 2 9/16" and my second one is a "line cutter" but off paper at 6 1/8". That's either a decent sum (1"), or a -5 1/8". Y'all judge.

            Trumpkin:
            It's up to Briar, but I believe I recall having a similar call a while back, and the plus or minus block lines basically extended to infinity.

              Don't know if I scored this right, let me know.

              Day1
              First +4 13/16
              Second: -1 1/8x2=-2 1/4
              Total: +2 9/16

                Hey txrebel here's how I read it:

                On the +'s you take the measurement as is.
                But, if you hit two +'s you get a (bonus) of taking only the lower of the two as your final measurement.

                On the -'s you get a (penalty) of doubling the measurement.

                Off paper measures as 0 (zero)

                Your day 1 total:

                4 13/16 on a + added to 1 1/8 on a neg x 2 = 2 1/4 = Grand Total of 7-1/16"

                Briar can correct that if I am wrong.

                  Thanks Rick, that's the way I thought it should be measured, but the examples had me a little confused.

                  Day1 total: 7 1/16

                    We’ll call shots off paper as zeros.

                    TXReb...you scored it right the first time. Negs double plus positives.

                    Kinda backwards. Little negatives can counteract the big positives for a good score.

                    Shooting for on target or positive scores.

                      Ok, I get it now. I think.

                      You double the negative hit measurements, then subtract them from the positive hit measurements?

                      Rick

                        Shot 1: - 1 9/16” => -3 1/8”
                        Shot 2: -1/2”=> -2
                        Day 1 total: -5 1/8”
                        My shots were just on the cusp (by a hair on a gnats hiney) of breaking the line but did not for me to be able to call either positive.

                            Therefore a negative measurement can improve your positive measurement, if the positive is greater than the negative?

                              Also...you can take only one shot....and call it good. A first shot positive 1/4” might suit your fancy.Youd be leader.

                              One shot and walk are my favorite shooting sessions.
