Where the heck did you stick the mower and the Ranger on your place?

i tried to plant a couple of plots Saturday but it was a muddy mess

Hoping it dries out enough by tomorrow afternoon to get it done

More rain coming this week

I know the feeling. I stuck my zero-turn trying to mow the edge of my ditch when hit a spot of bare clay and it just slid to the bottom sideways. Backed the truck into the yard to pull it out, and ran over the corner of the water meter. After I pulled the mower out, I had a flood coming out of the water meter because I had broke the main water line coming to the house. Got to spend the rest of the afternoon fixing it. Also put some nice ruts in the yard just from the weight of the truck. Had it not been for wheel drive, I'm sure I would have stuck at too.

Couldn't stand it! Had to hit the lake this eve! Cleaned 30 in 2 hours. Clouded up and got windy and thunder rumbled a few times. Rods started popping so we left!! Fished stuff I've never been in before. Man I love this time of year.

Wish I could brother. But don't know where my 80 lb lab is gonna stay. That's why I haven't been staying at Bonanza the last few years.

The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kilt. Gotta go!

I have 3 trips booked for the next 3 day and have not been on LOP in a couple of weeks.
With the water up 8í I decided to do a little scouting this afternoon,
I have never caught as many big fish as I did this evening. I stopped at 10 different spot and caught 3 fish on each spot then moved on.
Averaged was no less than a pound and a half with 4 or 5 two pounders.
It was a fun day

I fished Palestine for a few hours today. Thea water is super high and looks like chocolate milk! Caught a few under the 155 bridge but the noise ran me out. I found one dock on the main lake that I could shoot that was holding fish and pulled about 20 out from under it. They were up under the dock in 10’ of water right on the bottom. I am more than a little bummed that I’d looks like my dock shooting for his year will be a bust due to the high water. Had to load up and get back for kids 7 on 7 football game.

I have found one natural underwater stump on Rayburn that must be a transition from spawning area to summer haunts.have hit it 3 times is 2 weeks. Piced up 19, 25 and 25 with maybe 7 or 8 throwbacks total. 18 feet of water 6-8 feet down. White / chart slab tubes and milk monkey split tails.

Had a trip booked for LOP that we moved to Sandlin yesterday due to the flooding. It was one of those days that make me love that little lake. The fish were really aggressive but ran a little small. They caught well over 100 fish but only had 24 that we put on ice that were in the 11 to 12" range. most of the others were right on 10". On the way out I stopped at one last place looking for some slabs.
I normally stop about 50 yards from a pile and ease up to it with the trolling motor. As soon as I stopped and dropped the live scope I saw we were right on top of a school of white bass. We never made it to the tree. They started throwing in fish faster than I could take them off the hook and we added 40 whites to the ice chest. It was really something to watch that school swarming on the live scope.
The crappie were caught a 1/8 oz gray ghost jigs in 20ish foot of water. The whites were from a point about the same depth.

Sandlin was too easy this afternoon
It seems every tree is holding fish. You do have to sort through the small ones but I carried a buddy this afternoon to prefish for a paid trip tomorrow.
we pretty much found fish everywhere we stopped.
i donít know how many we caught this afternoon but we kept 30 slabs for a fish fry.

it was a great afternoon to be on the water

Had the Cummins on the boat today on Bob Sandlin
They did not catch fish as fast as we did yesterday but they caught way better fish with 2 over 15Ē. The rain hammered us at the end but they had 35 really nice fish on ice.
All fish caught on jigs with most coming off standing timber and a few off brush all in 20 ish foot of water

We hit the lake for a couple hours yesterday and it wasn't near as good as a week ago but we still had a mess and some good sized fish. Threw back 2 to every one we kept though I bet.

I have my first chance to go this weekend on lake limestone. From all the rain I'm told the lake is a mud hole so I don't know how good it will be. I have a few places I can drag a chartreuse road runner and maybe pull some out.

Ivan put the hurt on them this afternoon. The summer pattern is solid and the fishing will be easy for the next 3 months.
All fish caught on jigs in 15 foot of water staged about half way down on standing timber.
Took less than 4 hours to put 50 in the ice chest.

Peep caught her fish for the year today! She wanted to go for a boat ride and swim but I told her she had to catch a crappie first! She reeled this one in and said come on daddy! Let's swim!! It was cold too!!

Her momma took the picture and told her to pose with it!!

Best trip of the summer. I had Tracy Griffin and his bride out this morning and the laid waste to the Crappie. I canít remember the last time we caught so many big fish in one trip. My ice chest normally holds 50 fish as I like to throw them on ice rather than in the live well. 25 fish into the trip we had to start using the live well. We couldnít close the ice chest anymore.
Crystal was hurting bad with allergies but was still slamming big fish. Fish caught mostly on minnows with a few on jigs, 15 to 20 foot of water fish about half way down.

Fished lake Fork Friday and Saturday and another lake Sunday.
Fishing was pretty good Friday, fairly slow Saturday and really good Sunday.
All in it was a great time with my grandson as well as a couple of TBHers.
