Helix 10-SI/GPS with I-pilot I-link. As long as I've got somebody in the front of the boat, I don't have to get up and deploy the TM. And can run it from the rear where I can watch the Helix.

I've also got a very simple Humbird 541 that I learned to read very well in water to 40 foot. I keep it as a back-up for now.

In the meantime maybe Lowrance or Hunmingbird will catch up and I won't have to run 3 graphs on the bow. I'm gonna need a navigator before long.

I have Buff’s money
I have a helix 10 mega on the console with a helix 9 with 360 on the bow with Ultrex with spot lock.
I have a Garmin 1042 vex and Panoptix that should be here Friday
Went out this afternoon with a buddy that has the Panoptix on his boat.
It was amazing I could not only see the fish, I could see my jig and stop it’s fall right in front of the fish. It will be a game changer for sure

I’ve heard the panoptix is a game changer. I’d like to see it in action and try to decipher it before I dropped the cash. Let us know after using it for a bit.

Found this big girl suspended just above a stump in 20’ of water.
Watched my jig sink to her, watched her swim up and take it, watched her all the way to the net. Loving the Panoptix

I saw a couple of sweet photos of one of our own TBH members put the hurt on them last week. Those 50 were the nicest stringer I have seen since the 70's. Maybe he will come along and tell the story. Wade fishing is all I could tell? They were nice.

It is a game changer for sure. You never spend any time fishing where there are no fish.

I never knew how many fish move up to my jig then turn away.

That is the boat I am in...literally! I still like my boat but I need (want) to upgrade both Humminbird graphs, add a second graph with Panoptix up front, change trolling motors to an Ultrex and add a second Power Pole. It doesn’t sound like much but is probably $12k!!!

Lol! I hear ya! I really don't want to look at 3 screens but after today if Lowrance doesn't bring something to the table next month gonna be hard not too look at a Garmin. Took a technology *** whipping today. Finished 6th. Caught several fish just not the size we had a couple weeks ago. Did manage big fish in D1 with a 2.53 so day wasn't a total bust!

Can anyone recommend a good crappie guide to use to take a 7 yo out for a day in April? We always pick a day to skip school and do something fun together and this year he wants to go crappie fishing. We’re pretty much open to any lake in north Texas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mark Standridge. Chris Webb or lane Palmer would be my pics! All 3 are great guides and awesome with kids! Palestine or cedar creek. My 2 cents anyhow!

That's awesome, congratulations. Lake Ouachita is gorgeous. I think the water visibility is like 30ft, no need for live scope, just look over the edge of the boat. Wonder how that changes crappie fishing.

I wish!! I haven't even seen the rules yet but it's already off limits till weekend before I think and we can't talk to people or ask about the lake. Nothing but Internet research can be done. Good I guess!! For folks like me who have never done anything on Hamilton but eat at fishermans wharf

Congrats on the invite. Good luck
Anybody catching crappie shallow up in the creeks yet north of DFW? I would assume the 19 deg temperatures Monday and Tuesday would have the water temp way to low but the last two days the high was 75. But now it is cooling back down Sunday. I am ready to rip some lips if the weather would cooperate
