    Dogs and cataracts

Anyone know anything I can give an older dog that has developed cataracts? Anything out there one the over the counter market that would slow them down at least?!

Best bet is a canine ophthalmologist.

My 15 year old dog got glaucoma in his right eye a few years ago. Before the eye basically died I was giving him an eye drop 2 times a day. Purpose was to reduce the pressure on it. They required an RX

Are you sure it's cataracts? I had probably 2 dozen people(not vets) see him over the course of the first year he lost sight and they all told me he had cataracts. His eye slowly got cloudy until it was fully cloudy.

A friend had a dog with them bad. He would blow marijuana smoke in its face and in a little bit, the eyes would clear right up for a few hours. Maybe the cbd things would work.
