Learn me on Deer Recovery lights

I’ve seen certain lights advertised to help trail/track wounded game. Do any of these work which works better if any. I’ve heard some guys say you can’t beat an old Coleman lantern. I’ve always just used a regular flashlight. What’s your opinion.

If you hit 'em with the rear bumper you can turn around and use the head lights.

Yeah I haven’t seen one that worked as claimed. I prefer a high lumen LED headlamp but have a friend who says he can see blood better with a Coleman lantern.

Good light and a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide if the blood trail starts getting thin

I just scan with my thermal for the dead body. Will see that deer every time.

What does the hydrogen peroxide do for the blood trail?

The Proxide will foam up as it reacts with the blood. It also doubles as a cleansing agent for wounds you may encounter in the field.

I just used my thermal monocular for this for the first time last night on a hog---sure beats blood trailing in the dark in weeds/grass for sure.
