I think it was bad for Trump. He repeatedly said on camera that he'd take the blame for a government shutdown, and Pelosi and Schumer both repeatedly said they don't want one.

Anytime there's a government shutdown, the party that takes the biggest beating in the court of public opinion for causing the shutdown is typically forced to fold. Given those statements, who do you think the public will blame for a shutdown now?

The Scare Crow and the Weasel, they'll probably file animal abuse charges on Trump for the way they were treated. Trump told them in no uncertain terms he wanted the wall built.

Watch the Weasel tell Trump he'll vote to fund the wall but only after Trump meets all the demands of the migrant group at the border.

The migrants are now demanding that the US pay them $50,000 per person and they will go home or let them in the US! This is to repay them for all the money the US stole from Honduras! LOL!

He's out of options...last opportunity to get $$$$ for the wall is 2018.

The latest survey from Nielsen shows CNN is losing the prime time cable news race. It has 944,000 viewers from 8 to 11 p.m. EST. Compare that to 2.3 million for Fox News and 1.7 million for MSNBC.

The overwhelming majority of folks watch Fox News and therefore get the full version, not just selected sound bytes like CNN produces. Also the majority of those who watch MSNBC also watch Fox in order to get the full picture. Those who get all their news from CNN are pretty much glued to them as their only source and are very much in the minority. I see Trump as the clear winner of yesterday's ambush.

I loved every second of that meeting. It's the first time in my lifetime I see a Republican pushing back. I just hope he does not cave at some point. Pizz on those freakin dems. Pizz on their amnesty and pizz on their socialist views. That wall would pay for itself in 6 months if built.

It's reported that it costs the tax payers $70,000 a year for each illegal that gets in and stays. What do you think a 100,000 illegals cost? or 11 million of them? I think that wall gets paid for in about a week

they all should be put on a chain gang picking up trash on the side of the hwy till they accrue enough money for their bus ticket back to where they came from. or let mexico pay for it; after all they are the ones who let them in to get as far as they have.

The wall is all fine and dandy, I guess. I'm not sure why we don't do a couple things to take away most of the incentives of the illegals, before spending a lot of money on a wall. Why not make E-Verify mandatory in every state? Why not make it illegal for ILLEGALS to receive government assistance?

If that doesn't fix the problem and we still need a wall, lets build the best wall ever. But if we keep providing jobs and free handouts.....desperate people will find a way around a wall.

Yep. With fewer illegals working tax revenue will increase and make funding it easier.

How did he win? How did anyone win?

It is baffling to me how they say they win, you say that you win. And you both continue to think that you won.

They (the media and uniformed citizens) will of course blame Trump. Who cares?.. that ship has long sailed. Each time there is a government shutdown all it does it show more and more people how little if anything it affects a persons day to day life. And that is something the Dems don't want more figuring out that is why they have to go to great lengths to manufacture disasters during a shutdown. The very thought of a government shutdown must strike fear on the democrat plantation.

The "shutdown" scare is a thing of the past. Nobody gives a rats behind if the government does "shutdown!" Less government waste going out the door for a while
