"Patches" - Building history with a deer

I've found a deer that i think will be cool to monitor over the next few years. He has a very distinctive white patch on top of his shoulder blades. I'm not one to name a deer, but i have decided to call this one "Patches". The white patch is so distinctive it gives the deer away from 1000 yards through 10x binoculars. Anyway, i first saw him last year. Based on his size, compared to his little buddy, i feel like he was 2 years old last year. He's made a jump this year. I'm going to keep an eye out for him over the next few years and see what he does.

We're trying to be diligent about feeding protein. There's relatively little hunting pressure in the area he lives in. He has a decent chance to get old. We shall see.

First three pictures are from last year. The next three are from Saturday evening.

    Cool
Almost looks like someone shot and hit him high, just grazing him.

I could be talked out of that. So, just for grins, let's establish what we think he was last year and what we think he is this year. Whaddyathink?

He made a pretty good jump, it will be interesting to watch him, hopefully he makes it a couple more years.

Alright, let's say he's 4.5 this year. Hopefully he gets another couple of years and we'll see what he does.

He got in a scrap last week and got a beam and tine snapped off. I think i know who did it to him. That's who i'd like to see.
