Pheasant from field to table.

Some buddies and myself made the short trip to Gainsville Sunday morning to Prairies End Hunt Club.
We hunted Pheasant, Quail and Chucker. We had a great hunt and a good time to say the least. It was cold and windy but at the end of the hunt we were greeted with Turkey chili, Cornbread, Ice cold beverages and football! If everyone doesn’t know my wife loves to cook. That being said she prepared the pheasant in a mushroom marinade and sweet potato mash that had Gouda cheese sprinkled on top. Yesterday as a whole was an amazing day! We got to hunt over some good dogs and make some memories out in the field.

Good times! Hunt their dogs or bring your own?

I went over there for a day last winter. Just 2 of us and had a great morning and lunch was awesome. Looks like the same guide in the pic with the cowboy hat. I've done a bit of bird hunting over some good dogs, but his dogs were the best I've seen work.
