Upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10...

Keep getting the free upgrade notice from Windows 10 to 11. Was curious if I need to avoid it like many updates in this world or if its worth it. Does it change much? Haven't had time to look at it or research it so I figured I'd entrust the TBH braintrust on this one.

My neighbor upgraded her computer the other day and it created a temp account, to where she cannot get to her files. I have to go over and see what I can to help her recover all of the files.

It could also remove your files too. Make sure you have a good backup before you do the upgrade.

That is the biggest issue that I have researched so far.

Because the **** keeps prompting me. Its that simple. Its a daily reminder... I love Windows 10 but I thought I loved Windows 7 to and its 10 kicks its ***. I was looking for an opinion on 11 to see if it was worth it .

I like to wait for at least 1 Service Pack before I even consider moving my personal laptop to another version of Windows. Unfortunately, I had to get my new work laptop with 11 on it, so that I can familiarize myself with what my users are going thru out there. I've only had it for about a week, and just like always Microsoft likes to move things for the heck of it. If you are using any kind of older application I highly recommend hitting their website and see if there is any kind of compatibility issue with whatever you are running. Sometimes going to a newer version of Windows means that you have to upgrade a printer or similar products you have had for years.

I've not heard good things about Winblows 11.

Stay with 10 until you can't.

I thinking 11 is going to be like Windows ME.
