Anyway, got this knife from Ken when he invited me to his shop to shoot some new bows in 1999. I was going through MO on my way to a 2 week ‘gold medal stream’ fishing trip through NM & CO, great trip. I came across it sorting through a bunch of knives. Thought someone might want to add it to their collection. Maybe y’all can post pic of your BW bow alsoLast edited by Blownshelby; 02-12-2022, 01:39 AM.

I own a 1963 Blackwidow TF recurve
My first recurve bow - 10 year old kid - Dad and our old neighbor - Jim Groves - ran an archery shop out of his Garage in the 1960s. He was my summer long hang out and between Jim and Dad - they taught me archery - before compounds came along.
Shot my first whitetail with this recurve and hunted everything with it - as my buddies had BB and Pellet guns - I shot this recurve. FLU FLU arrows, blunt points - field points and FRED BEAR 4 Blade broadheads - Easton aluminum arrow shafts - turkey vane 4 - 5 inch feathers.
Back when Blackwidow hand built these bows - there was a lady on staff - who hand wrote each bows specifications - on each riser - one at a time.
Here's a bit of BLACKWIDOW BOW HISTORY - my first bow - that took me past the SHAKESPEARE FIBERGLASS LONGBOW - Kids of my era started with - before wheeled compounds.
Fred Bear was live and hunting
Chuck Adams - the first GRAND SLAM RECORD HOLDER - wasn't even known - YET.
