    Anderson County Rut ?

I’m taking off Nov 4-8 to hunt during this week. Rut is typically a week or so. I know guys have been seeing some buck activity. Wondering if they should still be chasing next week or probably going to miss the action?

TTT for the evening crowd. My cousin says he didn’t see much activity today. He’s not the most reliable source though. Anybody else seeing much yet on buck activity?

Young bucks have been chasing and some mature bucks are with single does. It's on and will be 3-4 weeks.

I thought rut was approx 1 week and then happens again about 4 weeks later. I’m no expert or biologist. Either way I’m hunting this week. Headed out tomorrow after lunch & pulling the card on camera. Good luck to those out there tomorrow

Ruts in full swing in Henderson County. Mature bucks are on doe and not leaving them. Anderson County should be the same. You see a doe be ready for what’s behind her. You picked a great week to take off.

Yup, they were plenty active all around the house today.

                    I really enjoyed watching them.

Well let's see. My dad saw somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 does this evening, and only a single 2.5 year old buck showed them any interest. I saw 10 does, and the one buck I did see, also a 2.5 year old, was being chased by one of said does. No scrapes anywhere either, and they're usually being made by mid-October.

I don' t know what's going on but where we are at least it's no started.

I hunted on Friday and both bucks that came through had their nose to the ground. Just no size to them. I start the archery hunt at Gus on Tuesday. I think we are going to hit it about perfect.

Yesterday they were on the doe hard. Saw a total of 2 mature doe, 2 yearling doe, 1 nubbin, 2 yr old 9, 3 yr old 9, 4 yr old 8 and mature never seen before 8pt. All bucks were on the doe all day! We couldn’t t get a shot for my son they were moving so much.

This morning the doe came through and the 3 hr old 9 was 15 minutes behind her. Last night 2-4am they were running hard in the food plot and another new mature buck showed up.

                          I say try a decoy(s) set up!
