Are there farms in Iowa that sell whitetail hunts? Never really looked into it but would like to get a big Midwest whitetail.

There are outfitters that own/lease land that sell hunts. I know a good one in zone 6 that is reasonable on prices.

What are some of the best units? I should have 4 pref points next year and will be looking to hunt Iowa in 2020-2021 or so... Is public good and not over-hunted?

Zone 5 and Zone 6 in South Central and southeast Iowa are the most popular and the most difficult to draw. There are other great areas also. The northeast corner of the state (Allamakee and Clayton counties) produce a lot of big bucks and overall huge numbers of deer. There are areas in West and Southwest Iowa that are great also.

The public land in Iowa is awesome and does not get much pressure. I have 6700 acres of public ground 10 miles from my house. I have been over there scouting twice and I have seen one truck parked in one of the parking areas.
