    Cotton seed Feeder Design

Fill an old tire with cement and plant some drill stem in the center and let it dry. Make a V shaped basket above to hold the cotton seed and gravity fill. Use the 2”x4” horse panels to make the mesh.

    Will this work?

Much easier doing a basket or throw it on the ground.

      waste of time & effort.

make a netwire basket and wire it to a t-post, tree, feed pen, or bush.

I use horse panel and do like a basket. I think I cut the panel in half. Holds about 8-900 lbs

Id just use a panel and be done for about $25.

I saw these recently and just thought what a waste of money

We fed a lot of cotton seed to cattle when I was a kid. We would take a pitchfork and throw the cotton seed into cedar trees. It always seemed to hang up and not hit the ground.

Yes sir and the cows loved it, they'd pick it out of the trees.

Cool idea. The old wire basket on the ground obviously works, but I like your plans. Keeps some of it off the ground which is a bonus and that won't cost much to make.
