Stop all of these rice bran threads. As demand grows, Atwood’s has upped the price $2 a bag!

If anybody is wanting some, I was at the Wal-Mart on University in Denton a few days ago and they had a pallet of rice bran.
I got a few bags to put out.

Have used it on my last two leases and the deer( and hogs and COWS and every other critter) seem to like it. Don't know about it being an attractant but it can't help but add a little nutrition to thier diet. Especially late season.

They crush it where I am! I prefer it over hand corn because it lasts longer and isn't a favorite of turkey and other critters. My feed store actually started offering Persimmon and Peanut Butter flavored rice bran, which has turned into a big hit as well!

I’ve been feeding rice bran for 5 years. Killed some of my biggest bucks over piles of it. He deer in my experience prefer the meal over the pellet. Turkey’s eat it too.

They are garbage. Just make a gravity fed feeder. There’s lots of threads about this stuff on here.

Thanks for the input! Unfortunately at my lease the pigs would destroy anything at ground level.

Yea pigs are a big problem around me as well. Gravity feeders are a no-go.

A week ago I built a feed pen and threw 3 bags of rice bran on top of 1 bag of corn. So far nothing has touched it. I assume it will take awhile to get the deer comfortable in the pen. But as of now, rice bran isn’t working.
