    Cass County tells the gov....

    Not so fast baw!!!

Several East Texas counties are pushing back against Gov. Greg Abbott’s recent directives that require most Texans to wear facial coverings in public spaces and ban groups of 10 or more people.

Looks like they're at 38 cases with 2 deaths.

Interesting, I responded to the article and what I had seen earlier today. Thanks for the update.

            Per the article:
After having additional time to reassess our status and after more consultations, I have decided to opt out of the governor’s order,” Wilbanks said in the post. “If our active case number reaches the 20 mark, we will then automatically be under the governor’s order.”

              There we go!!
Now if we can get some more counties on board, we might start getting somewhere.

She's not defying the order, as Landrover posted they fall under the threshold of active CV cases to be required to enact the mandatory mask order.

Our local news yesterday said Jack County was the only Texas county that did not have 20 cases and would not be required to follow the mandate. But who can trust any info on the news these days, right?
