    Automatic gate openers recommendation

I am thinking about getting a new auto gate opener. I have a Mighty Mule 360 now. It runs on a 12 volt battery that is solar charged. I do not have another power source.

I've had Mighty Mules for 15 years now and this is my 3rd unit. It works but it seems it needs repairs often.

The gate is light and 14 feet long.

    What do you all recommend?

I have a Ghost Controls and it’s awesome. Easy install and opens every time.

      US automatic Patriot !
They are expensive for a reason.
Only brand we install due to no problems and last forever.

                Upgrade to the MM-752.
Mine works as good as the Patriot I had at my other place.
Home Depot had it for $750 with extra battery, solar panel and electric lock

Ive been dealing with mighty mule openers for 15 plus years. They were plagued with problems, mainly due to water intrusion, but worked good enough that the price point made it worth it to simply replace occasionally. Mighty mule redesigned the mm series to fix the main problems of the old units. The control box is now completely separate from the opener and is sealed very well. The opener is like 50% faster which has been awesome. The only downside of the mm series is the clicker range, which is like 30ft. Although it opens so fast it is not that big of a deal. Running three now and they have all been solid.

Originally installed Apollo and it was trouble free for years.
Then the board got fried (lightning strike maybe) and NICE had bought them out. Replacement board required stupid sensors and rewiring but I found that a US Automatic had a board almost identical to old Apollo.
It worked a short time and started acting stupid. After months, replacing several parts and a few hours of phone time they finally warrantied the board and trouble free until yesterday, hoping that was just a fluke.

The US Automatics folks were great, even though I told them up front I had "frankensteined" my setup.

Have also heard good things about Ghost
