Public Hunting Near Corpus

I know lots of Duck Hunting areas. But would like to know deer pig and varmint hunting areas. Somebody here shot a Nilgai that was on one of the small islands
near here but that was a fluke opportunity.

Aransas Wildlife Refuge, Guadalupe WMA, Choke Canyon, Chaparral and all the valley locations, maybe more I can’t remember

The Hynes Bay unit of Guadalupe Delta up near Tivoli is someone close to you and used to allow hog hunting up front, might check into that. I hunted it maybe 15 years or so ago and had a beast a few yards behind me on the other side of the brush I was tucked into. I don't even wanna know how big he was but he knew I was there and wasn't happy about it.
