    Elk Rug

So I had my bull elk hide tanned hair on and it's really cool. I saw this rug and wondered who could do this and how much it would cost? Anyone know of someone who does this? I really like the edges. Thanks!

Agreed. I would check with Ben Cromeens @ Tri-State in Houston.

That is probably felt around the edges.

You can send it to a "rugger" yourself and save some $. Look at Northern Pines Rugs. They are one of the few I found with a bound edge. Most use ruffled felt which I really didn't care for.

My old taxidermist sent my springbok to someone in San Antonio and it turned out fantastic heavy carpet backing with wrapped edges very clean

I will see if I can get the contact for them

My taxidermist in Bryan said he used an outfit out of Cameron to do his rugs. Don't remember the name.

Thanks a million. I will call the lady in Cameron for sure. I shot him 3 times at 300 yards off sticks. Couldn't take a chance he would drop off property. He dropped 25 yards from the fence line.
