That's what I said.

I can see why some think it's a porcupine. They do resemble each other in body shape, but I assure you - this is a beaver.

I'll pull the camera chip, and get the full res picture sometime within the next few days.

Anyone want to place any bets on beaver, or porcupine?

So did you ever say what area this pic was taken? I never seen one in my area, Bastrop, but I know the town over, Smithville, they have beaver problems that cause some flooding around the river. Also, never seen one around Granger Lake but have seen many small trees chewed down to stumps.

That's the low res transmitted picture from a spypoint cell trail camera.

I blew it up to a larger size for viewing here, and it fuzzed it up.

The high res pictures collected on the SD card are really good, but I haven't pulled the chip for this series of pictures yet.

I've found that most of my game cameras take really good pictures. I haven't messed with the cameras that transmit. I'm too frugal to do that.
