    That's what I said.

I can see why some think it's a porcupine. They do resemble each other in body shape, but I assure you - this is a beaver.

I'll pull the camera chip, and get the full res picture sometime within the next few days.

Anyone want to place any bets on beaver, or porcupine?
    I take paypal.

So did you ever say what area this pic was taken? I never seen one in my area, Bastrop, but I know the town over, Smithville, they have beaver problems that cause some flooding around the river. Also, never seen one around Granger Lake but have seen many small trees chewed down to stumps.

Y'all should know better than doubt what Rick says about just about anything. He wouldn't put it out if it wasn't fact. Carry on.

I would get it out of my yard and it's lodge mates too, they will kill your trees. I bet you have at least 6 beavers not 1.

6 beavers….that’s more beavers than a single man can control.

North of Abilene about 20 miles.

On the Clear Fork of the Brazos river.

No but some of us wanted to tell him at his age he might be hoping wishfully.

Then I opened the thread and was disappointed. [emoji23]

The high res pictures collected on the SD card are really good, but I haven't pulled the chip for this series of pictures yet.

I've found that most of my game cameras take really good pictures. I haven't messed with the cameras that transmit. I'm too frugal to do that.
