I was flinging a few at the lease with my longbow, warming up for the afternoon hunt and my string broke. Not smart of me to not have a back up, so no hunting for me. Haven’t bought one in a while - who is your go-to string maker?

Lane Holcomb makes a good D97 string. He'll need length, number of strands, colors, type of silencer is wanted, etc. He's made my orders and shipped the next day. He has a Facebook place and on ebay, also.
I also have a bunch of strings that Bob Lee supplies with their bows. Decent 14-strand D97 strings all colored brown and black with puffs on them. They'll ship you one.Last edited by SJP51; 10-29-2022, 03:25 PM.

Well I was digging around in my archery tackle box yesterday and found a string that I thought was a back up for my recurve - I measured it and realized it is for my longbow so I am back in business! Now I need to follow the suggestions above and order a couple extra - cheap insurance to not have another weekend hunt ruined by a broken string.
