          WWII land mine. **** japs put them all over East Texas.

          You could probably get it to a museum for some $, just don’t blow your arm off!

                It's either this or a surveying company's control point. PT 20 could just be their point number so if another crew goes back out, they know which point number it is in an existing file.

                The 20 Could also be how far a Point of Tanget is from an actual boundary corner.

                      I'm not sure. I was a little afraid to dig not knowing what it was. Also, it is on the other side of the fence so I didn't want to mess with it. Just saw it, and took a picture. Had two t post kind of "marking" it.

                        It is a control point, #20. Probably part of a traverse (closed loop) that enables the surveyor maintain horizontal (and probably vertical) control, used to enable relocating property corners and other features.
