Just went out to shoot my shot for the day.
Something (I guess wind) took my target away.
Nothing left of it, except a few small pieces around a couple of the nails.
Sun was in my eye. Thought, I should wait as I couldn't see clear. Decided to let down, draw, anchor and release with my eyes closed. Then open aquire target and release.
I don't recommend that method.
I could have moved the bucket a foot either way, waited 10 minutes. It was just the perfect ray of sun through the leaf canopy.
But a very real challenge we face in the field. So I sucked it up trying a dumb way to overcome it.[emoji19]

I thought it was funny, but I too was looking into the western fading sun... And just made a poor shot.
Your last one today was oh so close Gary. Good luck to all who are hunting this weekend. I’m planning on sitting tomorrow after work. Our season opened Sept 1 but it’s been too crazy to get out. Have low expectations for tomorrow but I’ll go to make all the ‘first time’ mistakes and then I’ll be ready for the Sat AM hunt.
