I just shot a giant buck. Waited 30 and went to get the arrow. Smells like guts. Decent blood trail starting at about 5 yards from the shot. How long should I wait?

This especially with the blood. There's a giant artery back there that can kill them quick.

Know anyone with a tracking dog?

Two hours minimum and that’s if you think the shot is good. What was the angle? Maybe quartering to you and exit is back? Can you get a dog? How much property do you have access to? Really consider a dog that can bay a deer if needed. Safest bet in my opinion.
