    Yeah…. I don’t make any excuses for that. It’s totally a “hand-rifle” in all reality. “handgun” by ATF standards.
    The shorter barrels and pistol grip stocks make it more challenging to shoot, especially in the filed.
    I hunted for years with rifles and wanted more of a challenge. Tried archery and just really missed the smell of burnt gunpowder. “Specialty Pistols” were my answer and became my passion. Haven’t hunted with anything else in years now.

        Nilgai horn lengths from taxidermist:

        9 1/4” on one side and 9 1/8” on other.

                Congratulations sir on such an accomplishment!! Good shooting too!! Love me some man pistols!! Never had an XP, but have a bunch of long barrelled Contenders, and you are right that bounce of sudden release of energy and the smell is downright addicting!
