I didn't want to hijack the High Fence thread. Can somebody explain TTT to me in case they do bring it back? I'm assuming is is just trap deer on 1 ranch and transport to another to release? More than likely with some kind of a permit/fee and of course CWD testing? Additional question is if the deer removed count against the MLD tags for the year or if they are outside of that? Right now I'm just curious, but I'm wondering if say I had a friend with an 8k high fenced ranch that is always saying he has too many deer if there is a way I could take some off his hands and help my herd as well.

Yes sir, it’s suspended currently.

But a rough run down. habitat assessment by local state biologists. Making sure you can provide for the new deer without over population. Apply for permit, coordinate helicopter and transportation. With LOA for heli and traveling papers for truck and trailer. Give heads up to game warden within 48 hrs of catch and net some deer. Tattoo and tag with age estimates for state in compliance with permit and take them to the new ranch. New property must be high fence.

Few picture from one I coordinated a while back. Lot of work but plenty fun and makes a large impact fast for the new property.
