Actually I’ve seen the opposite this year with the drought, the deer dropped about 2-3 weeks earlier than normal and I’ve seen more drops and kickers this year. Deer look great!

I haven't been out since January. No cameras working. We like the surprise of just showing up.

Drought years tend to yield better racks for us. We have good water for them and feed protein so they hit it hard

With all the feed we put out this year im a bit disappointed myself. But we’ll see how they finish. Theyve been putting on a lot the last 2 weeks.

Things appear normal on our place.

I'm afraid we lost a couple of fawns with the heat

Same here. Seems as if there's no drought at Toledo Bend. The big ones will still be there and I'm looking for an E. Texas monster.

There are no monsters in ET.

Hard to say. Some deer start fast & finish slow where some are just opposite.
So far looking about normal growth cycle.

I guess it’s the Tons and tons of Double Down that we have been feeding and it just looks like the horns aren’t as far along as they have been in years past on different brand protein!!

On the other hand the place in Oklahoma bucks look alot further along. And they are just now getting to where they will eat the protein.
