Default Help, Chicken Experts!

This chicken started to try crowing the A.M. (sounds like a teenage boy talking lol). I didnít think we bought any roosters but maybe I got one, or itís just a hen..I have no idea to be honestÖ.

1. Is this bird a rooster?
2. Any idea on the breed because I have no clue. Thought we just bought good egg layers.

Thanks in advance,
-Jack

Yep, you gonna have to switch pronouns on that one! I'd call him a reverse bald eagle! Don't have a clue what variety HE is.

If it crows like a rooster, its a rooster.

I do have a hen that has spurs. Guess that happens though.

If crowing is a problem then it doesn’t matter if it’s a hen or rooster. Put it in a pot with dumplings

Ha, I just heard one of our little ones have the same teenage kid voice crack crow this morning. Anybody need an ugly white rooster?

Friend wanted a rooster from a white egg breed. Got a young Ideal, but it turned out to be a female. Named it Bruce Henner since it transitioned to female.

You can tell by the erect comb, the general body shape, and long skinny legs... Hen's sit lower, have a large protruding and broad chest... This rooster is a skinny chicken...
