Had a neighbor gift me an old wooden boat. Well since boats by definition float, I'll call it an old wooden outboard motor mount shaped like a boat.
Anyway, the plan isnt for it to see the water again. 1st step was to remove the 50 something motor...(it ran when parked)
Cleaned everything up and polished the chrome. Gave it as much elbow grease as I cared to give
Bought a perfectly good plastic mailbox, chopped it up and spray foamed it into the hood
Buddy made me a mount, clamped the motor on and slapped on some numbers
Mail lady is using it so everything must be good!
Still not 100% what lays instore for the boat yet. For now it still sleeps in the yard.
