Following. Looking forward to using my Wraith and Axion handheld combo even more this year. They have been a deadly combo in 2019.

Staying tuned. I am using a Sig Echo now. Works good for the 100-125 yards from the porch to the creek.

![]() Follow the link in my first post to Jason’s site and he has them all there. Right now the big ticket digital night vision scope is the Sightmark Wraith HD for $500. Pulsar makes one for $1200 that’s good but if you go thru the Late Night Vision Show’s podcast they compared the Wraith and Pulsar digisight that’s a good one too watch http://youtu.be/EnmGND7ECOE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Thanks for the shout out Russ! And thanks to all the TBH'ers who have supported us over the years for your night vision and thermal purchases, it really means a lot guys, we greatly appreciate your business!
I'll be at the SHOT Show in about 3 weeks and I'll offer up a full report of what's new for the 2020 NV and thermal market. As always, if you're thinking about purchasing some NV or thermal, feel free to give us a call and we are glad to make suggestions and point you in the right direction after hearing about your situation and your needs and wants. Yes sir, a lot of good things coming but it won't be public until the week of the SHOT Show, January 21-24. I'll be reporting with all the info after we get back from Vegas. We will also be going over everything in detail on The Late Night Vision Show.

Russ is correct. You're looking at $500+ for good digital night vision. Thermal starts at $1,900 and quickly jumps up into the $3,000+ range and goes up from there.
Quote:
I know I sound like a broken record but....you've got to wait until the SHOT Show.lol But yes, I'd expect another Wraith model coming, this one with 4K resolution but at a significantly higher price. More details soon. Jason |

Man I picked the wrong time to have a kid. I’ve been on a killing hiatus since last summer, and now that it’s time to get after the hogs heavy I’m having a kid in the next day or two. Y’all slay some swine for me. If I’m lucky I’ll make it out once or twice this spring.

I got a wraith for Christmas to go with my photons, it won’t come on when the temp is under 50. Anybody else had that problem? I’ve used my photons in the teens with no problems. Last night it turned on fine at the house and at the first farm, then I turned it off for the walk out drove to next farm n it wouldn’t come on till I left it in the truck running with the heat on high. As long as I left it on it was fine but turn it off n it cold it wasn’t coming back on.

Did a bunch of calling at night this past weekend to try to get some varmints. If anyone here is serious about varmint hunting I strongly suggest you get the Convergent bullet. I have had great success with it. Both Friday and Saturday night we had 75% call in success, one of which was a bobcat. This caller is much better than the Foxpro's I have used. The sound quality and range of sound is incredible. Jason at Outdoor Legacy sells them so hit him up if you want one. They are pricey but it is worth every penny.

Hoping Sightmark's updated wraith will be everything the ATN 4K Pro is supposed to be but actually works. I tried multiple ATNs and their QC is horrible. They all went back. I bought another Sightmark Photon RT to replace the one I sold on my 6.5CM. I'll be sporting that for hogs until a feature rich, actually working digital well under $1K hits the market. Anything inside of 150 and the RT works quite well.

Did some thermal hog hunting to first time in my life and was awesome. Ranch owners buddy took us along and used a hog caller sound track and an Pulsar XP50 and now I want one. To bad this poor boy can afford that much on a few hogs!

Hey guys, sorry I've been a little MIA on this thread, this is our busiest time of year so it's hard to find a spare minute. I'll be heading out to Vegas for the SHOT Show in about a week and a half and I'll try to give some updates but I rarely have time while I'm out there so I might wait till I get back to post some updates.
RMW, it's going to be the end of January at best. N-Vision says they aren't shipping any orders until then because they are way behind and they took off a week or so for the holidays, plus they'll be at SHOT show etc. I have my orders in and they are already pre-selling. If you think you might want one, give me a call (number is in the first post of this thread) and we can talk. For anyone wanting something that's out of stock and pending arrival, a $100 deposit will back order a scope and hold your place in line. Getting and keeping inventory is very hard this time of year because it's low supply and high demand right now. Thanks guys, I appreciate all your business and support. Jason |

I bought a Halo LR from him about a month ago and it’s niceeee. I’ve got a flir pts233 and pulsar xq38. The 3.5 power nvision sure comes in handy when trying to ID animals wayyyy out there

I’ve got a flir pts536 that I use for driving around our cornfields and pastures and it’s very nice for that purpose, but not for walking and stalking. Question is does the halo 3.5 have to much magnification for stalking up on a pack of hogs at 30-75 yds, is the field of view wide enough?

That's not right. The Thermion may have a better image than the Trail, but it doesn't have better battery life, and the Trail has the same 3 profiles (with 3 sets of distance coordinates for each, so actually 9 profiles if you wanted to go nuts with it).

GS or Jason, any advice on the cheaper hand helds? By cheaper I'm talking about something in the $300-$500 range like the Leupold quest. Would something like that work? I see the range on the Leupold is ~300 yds which is fine for me. If that is the only limitation, I could make that work. With that said, I know nothing about thermal so I have no clue what would work and not work, especially in a hunting situation. I have also seen the Seek phone attachments but I'm guessing those wouldn't work in a hunting situation. |
