Hello...also looking for a specific recipe. I grew up in East Texas (Hemphill Tx). I have been in the Air Force for the past 24 years and currently I'm stationed at Minot AFB. When I was growing up me and my dad hunted a lot. We always had some sausage made at local meat markets (Hemphill, Patroon, Jasper, Kirbyville). All seemed to be the same basic recipe. It was always just called smoked deer sausage. The only real option you had was mild, medium or hot. I want to make this sausage. Does anyone have the recipe or event know what I'm talking about?

AC Legg’s makes seasoning in just about any flavor you could want. Also, if you have a favorite item from a local processor, many of them will mix and sell you seasoning for a specified amount of meat.

                Leggs seasonings are pretty good.
