I ran across a video a couple of months ago that showed an old chuck wagon. I’ll have to see if I can find it and post it.

Not my video but on the internet.

Waiting for pictures. I helped a good friend rebuild a late 1800’s chuck wagon in the 90’s and what a fun project. We over built it and made it way to heavy. Go back original with wood so you don’t make the same mistake we did.

Not much on the history other than the Cirle T markings on it...

I have been told it is a late 1870s Bain wagon with a Weber brake system..

I am conversing with a gentleman in Arkansas that restores them, he is giving me some pointers and of course wants to buy it...

this is cool! My neighbor has a family wagon from 1860's in his barn that has been mostly restored. His dad used to use it for parades but he's thinking about selling it. It has leather springs, not metal. He thinks it is worth about $10,000 but I think it is worth a whole lot more.

Can you find a mill that would custom cut cedar for you for it? I just gave away some nice cedar for projects like this. I might have some more before the end of the year.

Heritage resorations in Waco has old barn wood from that time frame. Might not be cheap but give them a shout.

I wish you'd started this a year ago. My FIL had a huge barn, with some awesome lumber in it. I'd used some before and it was very difficult to plane down, for what I wanted, so I told him I didn't want any more of it.
