Default Brother wanting to rehome his Blue Lacy

He doesn't really have time for the dog anymore and is moving to a new home and his wife doesn't want him to go. He's a nice dog but has too much energy for her. I think he's 3 or 4 years old. Been around his 3 kids since he got him as a pup. Located in Deer Park.

That yard wasn't big enough for a Blue Lacy. They need room to run or worked often. Great dogs though. Good luck finding someone. I've got my hands full with mine.

Title should say "Brother wanting to rehome his wife."
Hope it all works out for the pup.

I told him not to get that dog from day 1 but he never listens to me till it’s too late.

I understand they maybe don’t need to have a Lacy in a yard that size but it does not look like he’s wearing the grass out. Good luck on finding a new home for him.

Or maybe the wife is putting the needs of the family (kids) above that of a dog. Kids are infinitely more important.

Good luck OP!

I am interested, I’m in Angleton and have plenty room for him to run. Where is he, is he fixed?
Thanks,
Tyler

Awesome! These are the State dog of Texas! They are great dogs if you have time to work with them.

My Blue Lacy has almost as much energy as I do.
She will however put the hurt on some squirrels when they encroach on HER yard
Lacys are some of the best IMO. They can go from a catatonic state to a bottle rocket in a nanosecond.

Bump this up top, this sounds like a good home for a dog in need. Keep us posted on the outcome please.

Thanks for the bump, weve got almost 50 acres for him and a large pond at my in-laws if he likes water. Was around Lacys when I was a kid and they always impressed me.

And so close for delivery, considering other potentials in this massive state.

Deer Park to Angleton is a fairly short distance. No long range plans or express needed.

Spoke with the brother yesterday but have not been able to schedule a pick up so far, still hopeful though.
Thanks,
