Solar panel charger

I'm hunting on a private land where a friend of the land owner has supplied me with the feeder (last minute permission). As a thank you note, I want to install a solar panel charger so I and him won't have to worry about the battery running out and some solar lights on the feeder for night hog hunting.

Can anyone show me a solar panel 101 instructions/solar panel for dummies instructions and not break the bank at doing it?
I have no idea what to chose and how to connect them...

have a wildgame innovations one that has been going strong. Just screw it to the feeder and clip red to red and black to black on battery

I used one of these to connect both wires (2 reds, one for feeder motor, and one for + from solar panel, same for the negative side) to the battery. If you have coons, they will get their muddy paw prints on the solar panel, trying to get to the corn, and also they might mess with the bracket.
