He did an entire challenge with it last years spring break. We did bulkhead catfish, schooling whites, one hybrid and a few bass on it across 4 lakes

Hahaha this cracked me up, that is great. Glad he was able to tough it out and keep fishing!

I caught a 7lb bass out of a small neighborhood pond on a hot dog. May give it a try. Otherwise tx rig worm. Black has worked best for me.

When my boys were middle school age I came home from work one day during the summer and they are telling me about the big bass they are catching on pepperoni slices. I said no way. They assured me it was true. That weekend we head over to one of the neighborhood lakes they were fishing and they rig up and toss out pepperoni slices under a cork. It wasnt long before the bass found them. I didnt have a scale with me but the largest was over 5 lbs for sure. I love it when my kids teach me something.

A 2yo will want action. Earthworms and a bobber for sure.

He looks content on that bench. Probably reminiscing about old times.

Give him time. Let him watch Daddy catch fish and how excited daddy gets when he catches one. Then, bring Mama along to do the same.
