I just received this picture, just wondering if anyone has seen it? I was told it was killed west of San Angelo, from a low fence property. Hopefully the lucky hunter is a member here, or someone knows him.

How's that for a drop tine?

I had to laugh.....I did a google image search to see if it had been posted anywhere else with perhaps more information. Search resulted in image not found but nearest reference was a bunch of elk links. That right there tells you how much a beast this one is.

Same. I don't recognize that pale, square-faced fellow. But he killed a helluva deer.

Looks like a northern deer. I'd be surprised if it was native on a low-fence ranch, especially anywhere near San Angelo.

Beautiful buck no matter what/where he was killed. Congrats to the hunter.

I cut the guys face out of the picture. He said it was taken West of San Angelo, unless he's lying to the family member who I got the picture from. He claimed to have tried for several days before got him.

Default 2017 Buck

This is one of our lease members who had taken a small buck to the processer in Bronte in 2017. Jim (pictured) just had to have a pic of this "monster" but no info on where or what type of fencing it was killed in?

We hunt around the Robert Lee area and if memory is correct, I believe Jim and my Son were told it was killed around the Water Valley area which is between Robert Lee and Sterling City.

I hunted just North of Bronte for 18 years in the 1980's and 1990's. We never saw anything like that.

What kind of savage drops a deer like that off at a processor and leaves it there? I killed a 170 muley and it never left my possession until the taxidermist said he was ready for it.

Weird. That tag doesn't look like the date and month have been cut out of it.

Heck of a deer for anywhere!

The processor we use in Bronte also owns the taxi shop right across the street, so there is the answer. Great processing and very good taxi, been there for years.
